Neighborhood

Nocciolina is in Alta Langa, the tip of the Langhe region. Located in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy, Alta Langa is renowned for its stunning landscapes, charming villages, and rich culinary traditions. This area is less frequented by tourists compared to the more famous Langhe region, offering a more tranquil and authentic experience. The rolling hills are dotted with vineyards, hazelnut groves, and medieval castles, making it a picturesque destination for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike. Key towns to visit include Bossolasco, known as the "village of roses," and Murazzano, famous for its traditional cheeses.

The culinary scene in Alta Langa is a highlight, with local specialties that reflect the area's agricultural heritage. Truffles, hazelnuts, and high-quality wines, such as Dolcetto and Barbera, are central to the region's gastronomy. Visitors can enjoy these delicacies at numerous local trattorias and wineries, where farm-to-table practices ensure fresh and flavorful meals. Additionally, the region hosts several food festivals throughout the year, celebrating everything from truffles to chestnuts, providing a perfect opportunity to immerse oneself in the local culture and traditions.

We collaborate with selected, small, local producers and farmers, and we'd more than happy to connect you with them for tasting experiences during your stay.

The town of Barolo, renowned for its namesake wine, is a must-visit for any wine lover. Explore the wine museum, Enoteca Regionale del Barolo, and sample some of the finest Barolo wines. For a blend of history and nature, visit the castle of Grinzane Cavour, surrounded by vineyards and offering stunning views of the landscape. The town of Alba, famous for its white truffles, offers a vibrant market and numerous dining options to savor local specialties.

If you're seeking outdoor activities beyond the hills and vineyards, ski resorts like Limone Piemonte are approximately 1.5 to 2 hours away by car, offering winter sports enthusiasts a variety of slopes and facilities. For those looking to relax by the sea, the Ligurian coast with its beautiful beaches is about 1.5 to 2 hours away as well, making it feasible for a day trip to enjoy the sun and Mediterranean atmosphere.
