Nestled in the tranquil hamlet of Somano, with just over 300 inhabitants, Nocciolina offers a quiet escape amidst the hazelnut woods. Explore the village on foot and uncover hidden medieval treasures within a 10-minute drive.

Immerse yourself in the charm of Alta Langa, where stunning viewpoints, local wineries, and authentic Italian cuisine await. Within reach: Bossolasco, the village of roses, and Dogliani, renowned for its Dolcetto.

For history, visit the medieval Castello di Serralunga d'Alba. For wine, head to the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo. Venture 30 minutes to Grinzane Cavour or to Alba for the white truffle fair.

Ski slopes at Limone Piemonte about 1.5 - 2 hours. The Ligurian coast around the same. The Alba White Truffle Fair in October, the Dogliani Wine Festival in August.

05 - Our story

Casaway, your home, away.

"We found this stone house in August 2020, during the first summer after lockdown, and renovated it over two years from two hours away."

  • Found on a drive through Alta Langa, above Barolo. The agent picked up on the first ring.
  • Renovation begins. Roof, floors, bathrooms. Barebones only.
  • The attached field becomes an outdoor kitchen. The patio takes shape under the pergola.
  • A proper deck and pool. The family packs for San Diego.
  • Nocciolina opens to guests. The hazelnut trees come back into the garden.
